Johnson.V’s Simultaneous Chess Exhibitions At Chess GM Project!

Chess GM Project conducted 2 simultaneous chess exhibitions in Kerala to promote awareness & interest about the mind game, in the minds of people! The exhibitions were conducted by the Founder Director of Chess GM Project Mr.Johnson.V,on 09-10-11, Sunday.

30 chess players each (30x2) took Mr. Johnson.V, who was a 2 Time Former University Champion & National Player, on the chess board in 2 sessions of the simultaneous exhibition conducted by the International Chess Promoting Programme Chess GM Project!

The players, who included state & national players, gave tough fight to Mr. Johnson on all the 60 boards he played & made him sweat it out for 6 hours & 30mins, in total, before the 2 exhibitions in different areas of Thrissur district – Kunnamkulam & Pavaratty – Kerala, ended with +57 , -3 in favour of Mr.Johnson.V, with no draws!

It is very significant to note that this wonderful feat was achieved by Mr. Johnson by playing with black pieces in most of the boards in the 60, as the Founder Director of Chess GM Project was generous enough to give white pieces to whomsoever who wished to fight against the champion with white! It is general rule world over that the player who gives the simultaneous exhibition gets the white pieces, as it is much difficult to play with black in a simultaneous exhibition!

Speaking on the side lines of the Simultaneous Exhibition Mr.Johnson.V told the media persons, parents, students & all the chess lovers present that CHESS should be included in the curriculum that children will be able to grow up in a responsible way that CHESS teaches. He also pointed out that CHESS improves one’s responsibility, critical thinking, analytical thinking, logical reasoning, mathematical ability and a large number of +ve aspects which will create an excellent student out of an ordinary one & a great personality out of an average one! He thanked the media for the wide coverage they have given to promote CHESS & CHESS GM PROJECT!

Mr. Johnson.V added that ONLINE platforms too are run by CHESS GM PROJECT to promote CHESS & make people get interested in CHESS, which include the ‘ORKUT’ community ‘CHESS GM PROJECT’, CHESS GM PROJECT BLOG etc!

He didn’t forget to mention that Chess GM Project - For All The Future GMs! – has succeeded in making hundreds of students/people start loving the mind game born in BHARATH/INDIA & IT will keep on doing whatever to promote THE KING OF ALL GAMES, CHESS!
