Luck & Blunder…The World Championship 2014

Despite the media saying AWESOME, what got finished on 23rd of November 2014 @ Sochi, in Russia, was just nothing more than PURE mediocre stuff! No other world championship has this much depended on ‘PURE BLUNDER’ & ‘PURE LUCK’!

When one sees the Anand everyone saw in the Candidates 2014 after the so called Carlsen Demolition in 2013 and @ Bilbao, just before the world championship 2014, vanishing listlessly into thin air, just when he started playing in Sochi IS JUST BEYOND ANY LOGICAL SENSE! Illogic is added more & more when he falters against a SO CALLED OFF FORM Magnus, committing stupidities when & where a 5 Time World Champion is NEVER expected to do such things!

When Anand justifies his blunders saying that Magnus has STRONGER NERVES, one comes to doubt whether he has COMPLETELY forgotten he was playing a world championship match & he has 5 world chess championship crowns under his belt! One also doubts whether he went to Sochi, FULLY PREPARED TO LOSE TO MAGNUS, ‘ONLY’ DUE TO THE PRESSURE FACTOR & NOTHING ELSE!

And, the PRESSURE, he has ‘severely’ been (SUPPOSEDLY!) under, ever since the media started to copy some of the Anand baiters, from the West side of the chess board, SEEMS to have no effect on Magnus’ result! One SURELY comes into the conclusion that Anand is playing a ‘MUCH PRESSURED’ (Pressurised!) World Chess Championship @ Sochi while Magnus plays some sort of ‘Night Odds’ or ‘Bishop Odds’ with his pal who NEVER played chess in his entire life; or whoever arranged it from ‘behind the curtains’ made it look EXACTLY like that!

It is a WESTERN ‘FACT’ that the word ‘PRESSURE’ itself is INVENTED by the western chess fraternity for Anand; ‘ONLY’ for Anand! It is ALSO amazing to know that when Anand plays the World Chess Championship (Whether he is the reigning champion as was the case in 2013 or as the challenger, as is the case in 2014!), IT IS ONLY Anand who SHOULD come under pressure! The international chess environment is in such a wonderful condition that ONLY Anand is ‘PRESSURE AFFECTED’; that too ALWAYS in the World Championships! The story becomes ‘THICKER’ when he loses BOTH the matches against Magnus as a defending champion & as a challenger, UNDER PRESSURE……Oh…what a wonderful story line!

Media celebrated the ‘Anand Break Down’ (Poor, Malnourished, ‘Western Made Crocin Eating’ ‘3rd World’ Former Champ, from the snake charmers’ land, India, who lost to the Young & Dashing ‘UNPRESSURED’ & ‘NEVER PRESSURED’ Norwegian!) & the Mentally ‘Tough’ Magnus (The New Macho Man Of The West!) pulling a faster one (A La Odysseus!) over a ‘PRESSURE BROKEN’ Indian who is ‘SUPPOSEDLY’ aged MUCH MORE THAN THE GREAT HIMALAYAS! The fact that Lasker & Botwinnik (The Aravallies of the Chess World!) were ‘MORE AGED’ world champions is wholesomely forgotten as they were considered ‘the Greeks’ of the Western Chess World!

Indian Media lapped up the western nausea & celebrated the Dashing Norwegian victory! They nauseated ‘PRESSURE’, ‘AGE FACTOR’, ‘CRUMBLING UNDER PRESSURE’, ‘RATING DIFFERENCE’, ‘LACK OF MOTIVATION’, ‘CARLSEN DOMINANCE’, ‘THE TIRING FORCE OF MAGNUS’, ‘THE MAGNUS EFFICIENCY IN EVERY POSITION & EVERY DEPARTMENT OF THE GAME’ etc on their media territory; those who 'EVEN' could not tell a bishop from a pawn talked elaborately on their media platforms, nauseating what they already had from the western nausea!

What many don’t understand is the stand Anand took; his ‘UNDERDOG TALK’; it looked as if he wished to present himself as a tooth less old lion, weakly moving towards the sun set…with all his glories collected in a bag which loosely hung on his back, with sad melody getting lightly played in the background!

It is basic logic that IF he wished TRUELY to compete in the World Championship rematch against all the ‘CREATED ODDS’, what HE REQUIRED BADLY WAS ‘MOTIVATION’, ‘INSPIRATION’, ‘MENTAL BOOST’, ‘WHOLESOMELY CHANGED/ALTERED OUTLOOK’ etc; and, it  definitely is anyone’s guess! Some sensible fellow had, some long years ago, told bluntly on the face of his distracters that “To Train A Horse It Is ‘NOT’ Necessary To Be A Horse!”; maybe, Anand would have missed that blunt man’s statement!

Why didn’t he go searching for this PANACEA & included someone outside the HEAVILY BIASED chess fraternity who could have changed his fortunes is STILL A PUZZLE! Was it all ARRANGED in such a manner that Anand be given a SORT of farewell which the BEHIND THE SCENE ACTORS designed?! His win in the Candidates, his success in Bilbao etc don’t show Anand as the nervous ‘BLUNDERING RAM’ of the world championship match….Some VERY IMPORTANT pieces of the jigsaw ARE missing here, for sure!

Every Indian &, of course, Chess GM Project really wish to know, maybe NOT too far away from now, what all things went in to make the World Championship 2014 this kind of a match where ‘ONLY’ Luck & Blunder’ (L&B!) decided the outcome!

If it is Luck & Blunder’ (L&B!) which are the main criteria winning a world championship match, it’s better NEXT TIME, FIDE arrange the world championship match between 2 seasoned gamblers from Las Vegas or 2 Lottery Maniacs who have spoiled everything on the lottery, as the 2 persons fighting for the FIDE World Chess Championship, where a little bit of ‘Gasparov Predictions & Blabbering’

(It is debated all over the Indian chess circles what this ‘G’ in G.Kasparov stands for; they strongly doubt that ‘G’ stands for ‘Gas’, EXPANDED Gas Kasparov; some EVEN have gone to the extent of calling G.Kasparov ‘simply’ ‘Gas’parov!) should be sprinkled to get the obnoxious, gossipy feel! Let’s hope someday…..in the near future something shocking will come out into the open….Let’s wait till that moment, thinking about things unseen… unknown……unchesslike!

Viswanathan Anand – The Untold!

The World Chess Championship is going to begin in Chennai (Olden Day Madras) in a couple of days! The World Chess Champion from India, Viswanathan Anand, will take on the pretender to the throne World Number 1 Magnus Carlsen of Norway in a Classical World Championship Match!

It is speculated that World Number 1 Magnus Carlsen has an edge over Anand as punters say he has 'a huge advantage due to his lower age - more than half of years ‘lived less’ on the surface of mother Earth than Anand has done 'successfully'! - & motivational level! These punters 'deliberately' forget the quality of wine is its age & for experience there are no real substitutes.

Vishy has been on the top of the chess world for more than 2 decades & he has been the undisputed world champion since 2007, making his challengers Kramnik, Topalov & Gelfand history! This great feat he has achieved against all the odds speaks volumes about the 'Legend Quality' that he has got.

He fought against a biased world of chess players & chess lovers from a very young age & he has always been harassed by the step motherly attitude of the world chess bodies that are realistically dominated by the western-spirited personalities, for ages! Despite all these not so enviable things & situations, where mortals have never thread, he walked with the utmost patience & dignity & achieved what a true Indian could ONLY have achieved - The Title Of The World Champion - as if he, an Indian, is entitled to have the world champion title of a game that is born in this great nation of thought & ideas!

Seeing an Indian as World Chess Champion for ages has never been something palatable for a lot of people who used to see & eulogise whatever that is western. When the 'Lightning Kid' metamorphosised himself to the junior world chess champion & became the first GM of India in 1988 he was still considered as an upstart who would fade in time as many had experienced!

In the 90s he became a major force to reckon with & there were no parallels in chess history in the matter of Speed! Most of the times he had been ‘deliberately’ presented (By the ‘who is who’ of the chess world!) in the world media as an underdog and was projected as something of a 'Lucky Time Chess Master'! The international chess media made him look like a 'Lightning Kid' trying to walk along the chess colossus of the pro western chess world! But time proved that the 'Kid' out classed the colossus & remained the Champion of the World for a very long long time, that the new generations saw Viswanathan Anand as the pole star in the ever changing firmament!

The western world which always wanted a world champion from the west tried their best to push the pole star out of the firmament by all the means at their disposal; but the star remained there showing direction to the wanderers of the unchartered chess world! Tens of thousands of people in the 1+billion society of India took chess into their heart with love as they were never failingly guided by the pole star of chess, Viswanathan Anand of India who was successfully 'SHORTENED' by the not too friendly western media & the who is who of the chess world as 'Vishy' Anand! Still, his unique powers never got 'Shortened' despite all the efforts of the persons who wanted to remove the star from the firmament, the pole star shone on the horizon!

The 'Supposed To Be' all time great Garry Kasparov treated Anand as badly as he can and FIDE, the main accomplice to demote Anand in stature, also did the same by making a Totally Tired Anand play against a much rested & FIDE Fav Guy Anatoly Karpov in a world championship match in which due to wholesome exhaustion Anand lost. Again, Kramnik & Topalov, both of them became World Champion's challengers, spoke about Anand in not so complimentary words that is due to a world champion of his stature.

The Gentleman Polestar of the Chess Firmament never got disturbed by this much below the par standard of behaviour of his opponents & contemporaries! Even when he became the ONLY world champion who has won the title in all the formats of the game play he was hailed 'INCOMPARABLE' ONLY by a very small number of international media! Always he was treated BAD! Before he became the world chess champion for the first time in 2000 & ruled over the undisputed chess world since 2007, he was meted out with the same sort of apathy, all over the world, mostly!

Now, when he is the ONE & ONLY Anand in the Chess World, of whom one can always be Happy about (Anand = Happiness in India!), the who is who of the chess world & the west slanted chess media say Anand has to beat Carlsen to be counted in the all time greats; what an absurd request?! The dumb as a door nail pro western chess media foolishly ignore that there is LITERALLY NOTHING Anand has to prove & he is NEVER going to prove –To satisfy an insatiable pro western chess media - what he has become long ago i.e One of the all time chess greats as whatever he has achieved, which is unparalleled in chess history, has been achieved against all odds, i.e. against a West centred chess fraternity, West centred world chess governing body FIDE, West centred chess contemporaries & all those who always wanted to see a man from the West on the World Chess Throne!

Kasparov, Karpov, Kramnik, Topalov & FIDE itself played all the tricks @ their disposal to prevent HIM from GREATNESS which he duly deserved; but, they never succeeded in their plans! FIDE, the chess body, made Anand play against Topalov ONLY a couple of days after his 40 hours bus journey due to a volcano eruption in Europe which made the life in Europe come into a grinding halt, thinking that he would be dethroned by the Karpov-Like Rested Topalov who played the championship in his backyard Sofia. In the Anand-Gelfand match, FIDE, despite giving assurances that Chennai would host the world championship, all of a sudden, from nowhere, CONDUCTED A BID & AN ARTFULLY 'LEAKED' Indian Bid saw Anand play in Russia! Again, trampling the ballooned expectations of the pro west chess world & FIDE, Anand emerged victorious with flying colours and for once & all established himself as the Living Legend of the Chess World, never ever bothering whether the pro west  people, contemporaries & media describe & engrave him as one of the all time greats, in their pro western chess annals!

The west dominated world media is still far away from accepting & declaring Anand as one of the greatest chess players ever born shows how arrogant, sub standard & low it has become that it REGULARLY points out new criterion, one after another, for Anand to meet – The sensible knows very well that they will continue doing what they have been doing UNASHAMEDLY all these years to infinity! – that they accept him as one of the all time greats! What these much less than sublime pseudo western media seldom understands or are ready to understand is its only idiots ask Quality & Greatness to prove they are Quality & Greatness!

Even Indian media neglected Anand where as they fell head over heals for the cricketing heroes of the country never remembering that cricket is a game which is barely played in less than a score of countries, in the world, where as chess is played @ the competitive level in every country present in the world! There was even a university in Hyderabad which asked him to prove that he is an Indian that the sub standard university could confer its sub standard doctorate or some piece of sh*t on him! Nobody, till now, has taken the courage to scream, standing on the roof tops, that “Enough IS Enough & Just Shut Up & Watch Anand Play The Game As A Legend Plays, in his inimitable style!”

Anand, such a great gentle man chess player that he is, has never been concerned by the knaves, senile & dwarfs of the chess world who were just there to harass Quality & Greatness 24/7 & he plays on, unperturbed & wholesomely focussed, as the Great & Legendary World Champion that he is.........!

INDIA TOP 30 - MARCH 2011!

WORLD CHESS CHAMPION VISHY ANAND headed the list of India's TOP 30 chess players! As he is the HIGHEST RATED CHESS PLAYER ON THE PLANET NOW with the career best 2817, there is no one in India to challenge his superiority anywhere near!

The second positioned Sasikiran, who lost some ELO points from his previous rating is 135 ELO points behind him. Though it was expected that Sasikiran would cross the 2700 mark again in the March rating list, it didn't happen as his perfomance was not enough to push him over into the 2700 group and he actually lost some precious ELO points too. 7 players including Sasikiran are in the 2600-2685 ELO bracket with the last placed GN Gopal coming back to the 2600 group.

The only female in 'the INDIAN TOP 10' Humpy's deteriorating form contributed into the reduction of her ELOs & it is a serious concern that she could not perform well in the tournaments she participated. She could not do well in the World Championship & in the Doha WGP she is not performing well justifying her highest rating in the event. Harika just lost '1' ELO point from her previous rating, maintaining the consistency she has been showing for some time now!
