Chess - The Touchstone Of An Intelligent Mind!

The game which originated in India thousands of years ago is making a come back in its birthplace with a BANG! With a World Champion to fight its cause, it is taking giant steps towards re-conquering the ever innovative minds of Indians or rather the minds of its inventors! More & more people are getting involved in the game.....Thousands of kids are being sent to the Chess Training Centres, all over India! It is the Re-emergence of Chess in India, after a very long time!

The game which nourishes one's brain & mind has always been there in the Life of Indians all these millennia! The game was taught in the Oldest of the Universities of the World, Nalanda & Taxila, in the golden days of Bharat - as India was called in those days! It was a part of the curriculum in India, thousands of years ago, as people even in those days too, as is the case with the present day generation, knew the great things the Great Game instilled in one's life!

It was considered ‘A Heavy Battle With Not Even A Drop Of Blood Shed’! Its was considered the 'Touchstone Of An Intelligent Mind'! Kings, Emperors, Businessmen & Warriors played the game those days with zest...! Scholars & the Common Man played it with the same enthusiasm & involvement as the Mighty Kings & Emperors did! IT WAS INDIA IN THE GOOD OLDEN DAYS! CHATURANGA - THE ORIGINAL & UNADULTARATED VERSION OF CHESS! - WAS THERE IN THE MINDS OF ALL THE LIVING PERSONS WHO THOUGHT IN BHARAT, THE GOOD OLD INDIA!

Now, after thousands of years of its birth THE GAME is making huge waves again in the minds of Indians! When Viswanathan Anand (the unadulterated version of Vishy Anand as he is known in the chess world!) won the World Junior Crown in 1987-88, it was something the Indians enjoyed deeply in their souls! They started to follow chess again in those years...! It took a very long 12 years for Anand to get THE WORLD CHAMPION CROWN, in 2000, despite his rankings in the top 5 for a decade!

By the time Anand won the WORLD CROWN for the FOURTH TIME in 2010, beating Veselin Topalov in his home turf in Sofia, Bulgaria, India & Indians got completely involved in chess! Lakhs (lakh in Indian mathematics is equal to one tenth of a million!) of children stormed the ever attractive dimensions of the classic game chess! Chess tournaments sprang up in every nook & corner of the country; with chess tournaments the number of chess academies & training centres also started to grow at a very rapid pace, as people wanted to give the maximum to their children that they Live Their Life As Beautifully As It Can Be!

It was when 'CHESS GM PROJECT' happened! The project was started in 2010 to help the coming generations master the Game Of Chess in such an innovative way that the 'GMs' will be the natural by-products, and the number of Indian 'GMs' will be like the leaves on a tree in spring - uncountable! It is a well known fact that the Royal Game Chess helps a person develop his/her personality as IT nurtures logical thinking, analytical ability, pattern identification & understanding, calculating ability, reasoning, responsibility etc, which are the basic building blocks of any successful human being! And, 'CHESS GM PROJECT' is working hard to achieve the sublime aim of creating a nation of great persons & personalities with the help of the Royal Indian Game Chess!
